Warning: If you have unspent EMC in the tablet when leaving the map, there is a good chance the Transmutation Table will forget it has EMC in it, and reset to 0 EMC. The fire icon at the bottom burns the item, learning it as well as turning it into EMC instantly.
The items get converted into EMC only when something from the opposite side is taken out. The area on the left is for learning purposes as well as for transmutation.
You can also learn all possible items by burning an Alchemical Tome in the "burn" slot. Putting an item into the transmutation table will make the table "learn" it.
